Terms of Use

1) Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using The Cosmic Engine iOS app, website, waitlist, or related services, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you downloaded the app through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you do not agree, do not use the service or submit information.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these Terms. The app is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. You may use Gemini-assisted features only from a country or region where the Gemini API and the app are available. By selecting the age confirmation, you confirm that these requirements are met.

3) The service

The Cosmic Engine provides astrology-based Pattern, Match, and Daily Signal readings for self-reflection, timing, chemistry, and relationship dynamics. It combines deterministic chart and timing calculations with interpretive content. Google Gemini assists the narrative for Pattern and Match reports and for Daily Signal, which starts from a complete saved Pattern plus current calculated timing context. Current readings use one Western astrology method and one editorial voice. Features, plans, report formats, and availability may evolve, and some functionality may require an in-app purchase.

4) Privacy and AI permission

Our Privacy Policy explains the information used for readings and the providers involved. Before the app sends personal information to Apple's native geocoding service or Google Gemini, it presents a disclosure and asks for explicit permission. You may decline or later withdraw permission in Settings → Privacy. Withdrawing stops future off-device requests but does not reverse processing already completed. You remain responsible for deciding what information to enter.

5) Information about other people

A Match reading may use another person's birth details or relationship context. Enter another person's information only when you are authorized to use it and can lawfully permit the processing described in the Privacy Policy. Do not enter a legal name when an alias is sufficient, and do not submit sensitive, confidential, harmful, or unlawfully obtained information. You are responsible for your submissions and for respecting the other person's privacy and rights.

6) Purchases and subscriptions

When paid digital features are offered in the iOS app, purchases are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase. The product, price, currency, billing period, trial, renewal terms, and included access shown on the App Store purchase screen at confirmation govern that transaction. Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until cancelled through your Apple account; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Apple handles billing and refund requests, subject to applicable consumer law. Restore eligible purchases through the app when that control is available.

7) Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully, personally, and respectfully. Do not misuse, scrape, copy at scale, resell, reverse engineer, overload, bypass safeguards or access controls, interfere with operation, probe for vulnerabilities, submit malware, impersonate others, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, or use generated content to harass, discriminate, threaten, defame, deceive, exploit, or cause harm. Do not attempt to bypass Google safety measures or use the service for prohibited or regulated activities.

8) Informational use only

Readings are symbolic, interpretive, and provided only for entertainment, information, and self-reflection. They are not medical, mental-health, therapeutic, legal, financial, employment, professional, emergency, or safety advice. The Cosmic Engine does not diagnose, treat, verify facts, predict outcomes, guarantee compatibility, or tell you what decision to make. Do not rely on a reading for an important or high-stakes decision; seek an appropriate qualified professional when needed.

9) AI output and accuracy

Generative AI and astrological interpretation can produce inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, unexpected, or similar content for different users. A generated report may not reflect reality, another person's views, or future events. Review outputs critically and do not treat them as factual profiles or evidence about a person. You are responsible for how you use, save, export, or share a report and for obtaining any permission required before sharing another person's information.

10) Intellectual property and licence

The app is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, samg.studio grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use The Cosmic Engine on devices you own or control. The brand, software, interface, methodology, templates, editorial material, visuals, and design remain protected by intellectual-property law. You may keep and share a report for personal, non-commercial use, but may not resell, publish at scale, train a model on, or create a competing product from the service or its outputs without written permission. You retain responsibility for information you submit.

11) Availability and changes

We work to keep the service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability, compatibility with every device, preservation of local data, or error-free content. Internet, Apple, Railway, and Google services may fail or change. We may maintain, update, add, limit, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, provider changes, product development, or misuse. We will not knowingly remove already-purchased access contrary to applicable law or Apple's rules.

12) Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or non-infringement. samg.studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses arising from use of, inability to use, reliance on, or sharing of the service or a report. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or a warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer rights available where you live. Apple is not responsible for our service, content, support, privacy practices, or product claims except as stated in Apple's Standard EULA or required by law.

13) Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and manage subscriptions separately through Apple. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of a material breach, illegal or harmful activity, security risk, provider requirement, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, responsibility for submissions, and limits of liability—continue after termination.

14) Changes and contact

We may update these Terms when the app, providers, purchases, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through the app or website as appropriate, and continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
